With a variety of attachments and options, the AF-4V can be fitted to perform almost any task when it comes to tray forming and case inserting. The tray is drawn from the magazine and shuttled past hot melt glue guns. The mechanically powered forming head plunges the tray through the die and into the awaiting empty case. The case is erected using vacuum. A separate vacuum source retracts the leading major panel allowing it to pull past the tray-forming die. After the tray is inserted, the tray/case combination exits the machine on the discharge conveyor.
